Presented by The New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA)
Launched in 2015, Public Artists in Residence (PAIR) is a municipal residency program that embeds artists in city government to implement creative solutions to pressing civic challenges. PAIR was inspired by the pioneering work of artist Mierle Laderman Ukeles, the first artist-in-residence with the NYC Department of Sanitation. Drop into Office Hours with Commissioner Tom Finkelpearl, PAIR program directors Shirley Levy and Diya Vij, and 2018 PAIRs Rachel Barnard, Onyedika Chuke, and Tatyana Fazlalizadeh to learn more.
