International Center of Photography presents The Image & Social Change

May 11, 2018
1:00  -  3:30
1114 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY (at 43rd Street)

Join the International Center of Photography (ICP) for a panel discussion (1:30–3PM) that considers radical curatorial methodologies, approaches that recognize young people as cultural producers, and image-based work that sits at the intersection of art and activism. We’ll use past and upcoming ICP exhibitions as a starting point for conversation, drawing on learned experiences from curators, youth educators, and arts administrators on ICP’s team including Kalia Brooks, Marina Chao, Joanna Lehan, Quito Ziegler, and Ariana Allensworth. Guided tours of the ICP School facility will be offered 30 minutes before and after the program, which includes: classrooms, analog and digital labs, a studio, library, and gallery exhibition featuring the work of the current students in the ICP-Bard MFA program. Light refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP here.
