Sculptures That Talk

May 12, 2018
1:10  -  1:25
Main Atrium, First Floor, Queens Museum

Sculptures that Talk is a collaborative artwork and public sculpture that promotes engagement and direct action. Imagery as a material becomes a site in itself to promote a conversation about the relationship to the land of Oak Flat, Arizona, sacred to the San Carlos Apache in a past, present, and future oriented manner, as well as a broader conversation about why it is important to protect our public lands as a whole. The Apache Stronghold and Social Practice Queens will present on Oak Flat.
