Join an early morning birding walk led by a guide from the NYC Audubon Society in honor of Ted Purves (1964–2017). This intimate gathering will be an opportunity to reflect on Ted’s legacy as a teacher, artist, writer, and abiding influence in the field of social practice. Ted was an avid birder as was his mother – a nature center in Urbana, IL was opened in her honor in 1979. Quiet time observing birds in Central Park will provide insight into Ted’s keen powers of observation as well as an opportunity to share stories and memories.
